Ground Advice

Below is the basic check list we recommend for anyone buying a TEFL business online:

1.  Meet the seller personally.  A Skype interview is not adequate.
2.  Check the contract with a lawyer.  A "what if ..." attitude is essential.
3.  Make contact with the seller's lawyer too.  Does he have a lawyer?
4.  Check the condition of the premises personally.  Don't rely on just pictures.
5.  Insist on seeing a balance sheet for the previous year.  Is the company audited?
6.  Ask to see the company's registration documents in full.  Later is not good enough.
7.  Establish how the money flow will be handled.   Who will customers be paying?
